Located on the north shore of the Garden Island of Kauai, The Cliffs Resort lies within the Princeville Resort on 22 acres of lush tropical garden land - called the "Cliffs" because of its situation on a high bluff, overlooking the north Pacific.

Major attractions in the immediate area include the 45-hole Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Princeville Golf Courses, the beautiful and unique Na Pali coast, lovely and uncrowded soft, white sand beaches, dramatic helicopter flights over tropical mountains, and tranquil, enchanting sunsets.

The Cliffs Resort presents many on-site amenities, including two tennis courts, a full-size volleyball/badminton court, a half-court basketball court, two shuffleboard courts and a childrens' playground. A swimming pool, spa for adults, and a putting green with sand trap round out the Cliffs amenities.

There are many waterfalls and hiking trails, and one of the seven navigable rivers on the island, the Hanalei River. This river flows into Hanalei Bay, made famous in the musical film version of South Pacific.
